Each of the 3 active weight loss levels comprise of a number of OPTIFAST VLCD products, as well as low-starch vegetables.

In 2 of the levels, low-calorie meals are also included.

The OPTIFAST VLCD products contain all of the nutrients required for safe and effective weight loss, such as vitamins and minerals.

OPTIFAST VLCD is for the dietary management of obesity. Must be used under medical supervision.

On the Intensive Level you will replace all 3 meals with OPTIFAST VLCD products.

In addition to the 3 OPTIFAST VLCD products, you will also have:
• At least 2 cups of low starch vegetables

• 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil

• 2 litres of water every day

IMPORTANT: Due to the energy restrictions of under 800 calories per day, this Level is only to be followed by individuals with a BMI of 30kg/m2 or 27kg/m2 with weight related co-morbidities such as diabetes, hypertension, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. You must speak to your healthcare professional before commencing on the Intensive Level.

On this Level, you replace 2 meals with OPTIFAST VLCD products and include 1 healthy meal, which is approximately 350 calories. It is ideal for you if your BMI is 25-30 kg/m2 or if you find the Intensive Level too restrictive and want to incorporate a 'normal' meal during the day.

On this Level, you replace 1 meal with an OPTIFAST VLCD product and include 2 healthy meals, each meal approximately 350 calories. It is ideal if your BMI is 25-30 kg/m2, and would like to incorporate some 'normal' meals into your day.

When you've achieved your weight loss goal, you're ready to transition to the Maintenance Level, where you can enjoy 3 healthy, calorie-controlled meals per day. The flexibility of the OPTIFAST VLCD Program means that, if you need to, you can always re-introduce OPTIFAST VLCD products whenever you feel the need to get back on track.

Directions

For best results, add one sachet of OPTIFAST VLCD to 200-250mL of cold water in a shaker. Shake vigorously. Pour soup into a microwaveable bowl or cup. Microwave on high for 20 seconds then stir contents. Keep heating in 20 second intervals, stirring after each time, until desired temperature is reached. Do Not Boil. Alternatively, add one sachet to 200-250ml cold water, stir vigorously with a whisk, gently heat on the stove whilst stirring until desired temperature is reached. Do Not Boil. All prepared products should be tightly covered and consumed within 4 hours at room temperature or within 24 hours if refrigerated. Note: Discard any unfinished product that has been heated.
