What is dandruff?²
Dandruff (pityriasis capitis) is the excessive flaking of dead skin that forms on the scalp and can be accompanied by itchiness, redness and irritation. It is a common, chronic scalp condition and can have several causes.

Helps treat some skin conditions
Selsun Gold helps to treat some skin discolouration conditions such as tinea versicolor, and as an adjunct in the treatment of tinea capitis (ringworm).

The fungus 'malassezie furfur' is found naturally on the skin, however it can sometimes grow too fast and feed on the oils in our hair follicles. This can irritate the skin, resulting in dandruff and itching.
