Do not use:
- for children under 18 years of age.
- if allergic to esomeprazole.
- if allergic to any other proton pump inhibitor.
- if you are taking antiretroviral medicines, such as atazanavir.
- if you are taking cilostazol a medicine used to treat pain and/or cramping in the lower leg.
- if you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed.
- if you are experiencing weight loss, persistent regurgitation of food, vomiting, difficulty swallowing or symptoms of gastro-intestinal bleeding.
- if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant except on the advice of a doctor or pharmacist.
Ask your pharmacist or doctor before use if you:
- have or ever have had serious liver disease.
- are taking digoxin.
- are taking ketoconazole.
- are taking clopidogrel or warfarin.
- are taking other medicines regularly.
This preparation is for the relief of minor and temporary ailments and should be used strictly as directed. Do not use for any purpose other than what is specified on the pack.
Keep to recommended dose. If an overdose is taken or suspected, telephone your doctor or the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26, or New Zealand 0800 764 766).
Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you do not feel well, if new or additional symptoms occur while taking Nexium 24HR.
