URAMET (methenamine hippurate 1g) helps prevent recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs). It is an antibacterial tablet that suppresses bacteria in the urine that can cause UTIs.
URAMET works by targeting the bacteria in the urine that cause UTIs. It may be used for short or long-term UTI prevention, and can be used after successful initial treatment to help prevent recurrent UTIs. There is no known bacterial resistance with URAMET.
