Heartgard Plus (Ivermectin) is a beef chewable used for the prevention of heartworm disease in dogs.
When combined with pyrantel emboate, it is also used for treating roundworm and hookworm in dogs.

Heartgard (Ivermectin) is given once a month year-round for the prevention of heartworm disease.
The usual dose of ivermectin in dogs up to 11 kg is 68mcg, for 12-22kg is 136mcg, and for 23 to 45 kg is 272mcg.
Dogs over 45 kg are given a combination of the chewables.
